Write for us
Active Concert Review welcomes pitches that help readers notice how live music works, from a performer’s interpretive choices to the practical art of listening closely. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What we welcome
We consider clear, original contributions about interpretation, ensemble playing, concert sound, programme design and listening. A piece can explain an idea, compare approaches, trace a relevant history or offer a focused way to pay attention. It should work for readers without specialist training.
A useful pitch
Tell us the central question, the point you want readers to take away and why it suits Active Concert Review. Include a proposed angle and a brief outline. Name the material or sources you expect to rely on, and disclose any relevant relationship to the subject. A precise, bounded idea is more useful than a broad promise to cover concert music.
Working together
Please send a proposal, not a finished article, unless we have requested a draft. We do not promise publication or a response time. Contributors should offer original work and flag any factual uncertainty; accepted pieces may be edited for clarity and fit.
